The fall festival circuit took My Shanghai to new highs in recent weeks. The debut documentary from First Straw Films won top honors at Moondance International Film Festival in Boulder, Colorado, Sept. 26-28, 2014.
My Shanghai and Director P.H. Wells won the Columbine Award for Best Feature Documentary. The Columbine Award recognizes work that reflects “non-violent conflict resolution, alternatives to violence, or [shows] why violent resolution to conflict is counter-productive,” according to Moondance organizers.
My Shanghai and Composer Jonathan Geer won the Seahorse Award for Best Film Score. The Seahorse Award recognizes the accomplishments of both men and women in key roles on a film.
